Principal: Sarah Short, BA (Hons)

Sarah is one of the Academy's 'leading lights' and operated for many
years one of the largest branches in the Lake District area of the United
Kingdom. Owing to her inspired work, she was nominated and short listed
for the prestigious Start Up Awards, Franchisee of the Year award in
2005. Having studied both drama and dance at university and taught and
worked in industry, she is keenly interested in the development of well-
rounded young people. Her driving force is to tap into the natural ability of her students
and channel this development so they quickly become confident, articulate people, ready to
face the challenges of their life ahead. Sarah is thoroughly committed to the Helen O’Grady
Drama Academy curriculum and believes in it passionately. Sarah knows from her extensive
experience with the Academy that the unique nature of the programme allows all students
to have fun. Students in the Academy learn more quickly as they enjoy participating and
therefore are highly motivated. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is delighted that Sarah
is the Principal of the Botswana Academy. Her vision will allow many young people in Botswana to reach their dreams.
