Principal: Janet Irwin

From an young age Janet
always loved the theatre and participated in numerous schools plays,
ballet shows and productions including The Sound of Music, Oliver!
Orpheus in the Underworld, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar and a whole
range of variety shows in Zambia. She is passionate about reviving the
Lusaka Theatre Club the performances at the Lusaka Playhouse Theatre.
Janet is very well known in Lusaka in the Real Estate business and has
been top trainer of franchisees and managers. She knows how to get the
best out of all her employers and believes firmly in the concept of
self-development, having used her dramatic skills to bring on many in
the business world through role play and acting.
Janet has a close relationship with many of the schools in Zambia. She
knows that the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy will not only change the
face of Zambia but the rest of Africa as well and she is excited about
being a part of it!
Janet will be assisted by her two lovely daughters, Carlyn and Shaina:
Carlyn Irwin
Carlyn has a passion for life and loves a good time. She is know
throughout Lusaka for her fabulous costumes. Always bubbly and
energetic, her teaching is infectious! Carlyn has excellent
organisational and planning skills, and with a diploma a diploma in
hotel management, as well as studying weddings and events, being part
of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy will now always be an event for her.
We know that Carlyn will have much to offer the growth of the Academy
in Zambia.
Shaina Irwin
Shaina is passionate about working with children. She is a qualified
TEFL teacher and has taught both in Asia and Africa. She is a kind,
gentle teacher, who has experience with international schools as well
as children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Shaina welcome the
opportunity to work with the Academy's wide range of children and
adults with the sole aim to make a difference in the lives of all those
who come into contact with her.
